Kamsa, pronounced kahm-sah, means “appreciation” in Korean. Kamsa is a solution used by companies, globally, to appreciate their most valuable asset - their people.

Kamsa is a global compensation software built by former Heads of Compensation to manage employee compensation, painlessly. How did Kamsa come to life?

Lola Han, the CEO and Founder of CultivatePeople, and former Head of Compensation at Zendesk, experienced how painful it was to run routine compensation reviews for companies.

It usually took more than 6 months to conduct job leveling, market pricing, establish compensation ranges, and administer compensation reviews. After helping over 200 global organizations with their compensation, she realized they suffered the same pain points and there was a gap in the market for a comprehensive compensation software that reduces the time it takes to do what every company goes through in reviewing compensation.

Lola and her team of compensation experts developed a compensation software that helps companies access reliable market data + run their routine compensation reviews, painlessly, so that leaders can make better pay decisions.

Where does Kamsa’s data come from?

Our proprietary global market compensation data comes from our client’s employee data (anonymized, of course). We have over 200 global tech industry companies in our database. For jobs that might be more unique or countries that have a small sample size, we tap into a library of other survey sources to ensure we provide our clients with reliable market compensation data.

Our experienced compensation consultants also work with you to blend art with science, where necessary (e.g., if you have employees in a job that have a special skill set and should be valued higher than what’s typical in the market).

How does Kamsa’s market data compare to competitors?

Unlike other market survey data, where their data can be wonky (e.g., their Senior Principal Software Engineer data is lower than Principal Software Engineer data?!), we make sure the variances between the midpoints make sense and are usable for an organization. Our expert compensation consultants also help you establish compensation ranges for any unique jobs that you might have within your organization.

How can I make a business case to implement Kamsa at my company?

Can I use Kamsa for performance management?

With our Compensation Review tool, Kamsa allows you to customize performance rating scales used to monitor employee performance. The performance ratings can be included as a data point in the Compensation Review tool so managers can use it to make the best pay decisions for each employee.
