Senior Frontend Software Engineer

This unique opportunity will report to the Chief Technology Officer of a compensation software company.

Location: Remote Opportunity (United States)

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and team members to ship new features using a user-centered product sprint process. 
  • Work with a broad range of technologies spanning React.js, Redux, Hooks, and Saga communicating with a backend REST API.
  • Help drive and deliver on our product roadmap, turning specs into features.
  • Develop, test, and iterate on prototypes quickly. 
  • Lead and contribute to the next features of our product.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and services as needed.
  • Enhance the architecture of our front-end and bring extensive experience working with an established code base.
  • Ensure the software is well-designed and well-tested, with clean code that can scale to hundreds of companies.
  • Assess business and product requirements and propose viable technical solutions.
  • Exemplify a holistic approach to writing software, e.g., security, documentation, instrumentation, and observability.
  • Use your experience in delivering software for a SaaS product at scale, including what goes into thoughtfully deploying your code in a complex environment while obsessing about the quality of the product.
  • Uphold high development standards with a focus on meeting product needs.

Frontend: React, Redux, Saga, MaterialUI/MUI, ES6/Typescript

Backend: Python, Django

Platform: AWS

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry expertise.
  • 5+ years of experience building enterprise software and knowledge of the challenges presented by working at a global scale.
  • Significant coding experience and skills with technologies such as React and Redux with a passion to learn and explore new frameworks.
  • Extensive experience learning and enhancing an existing customized code base.
  • Strong track record of designing, implementing, and launching complex and scalable software services.  
  • The passion to suggest new methodologies and/or coding techniques to advance the platform.
  • Experience debugging complex Front end issues and the ability to work with, and communicate needs to backend developers.
  • The initiative to be a self-starter and bring tasks to completion efficiently with minimal supervision in a remote working environment.
  • Constant learning of new technologies, systems, communication techniques, and project management techniques
  • Desire to fight for the user and consider how a product can resolve our client's pain points. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.

Compensation Information

Base salary range: USD $130,000 - $170,000 annually 

In addition to base salary, Kamsa employees are eligible for a new hire stock option grant. 

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
